Finally Updated

I finally updated our blog! I decided I wanted time for this so I had to make time! Everything is still going great for us. As far as school goes the semester is almost over. Only 5 weeks left! I have to remind myself I'm not done yet so I can stay focused with studies. Last night is a perfect example of what happens when I don't stay focused. Last night Michael and I were about to play Super mario brothers (one of our favorites!), when I decided I better check my list of assignments. Good thing I did! I had one due that night! I can't believe I forgot about that one! I'm so glad it was easy and got it done. We've both agreed we want to take a break this summer. We want to make sure we get some vacation time :) We are ready for summer! It's almost time for me to join Michael for lunch. I am so happy we are able to do this. It gives us both a nice break and an extra kiss for the day :D I think I'll be making some chicken sandwiches for lunch with some of Michael's new favorite Habanero Dorito chips. They are very yummy (and addictive) but hot! Alright, that's it from me today. I'll try to get on here more often to keep everyone more updated. Love you all!

MicHaeL's BiRtHdAy!!!

I had a surprise party for Michael this year and it was tons of fun!!! He said it was the first surprise party he had where he was really surprised! I had tons of fun planning a pirate/ninja turtle party for him and it turned out to be a success. We were all kids again! We started the night off with a treasure hunt, pinata and finally gifts. His favorite gift was the ninja turtle snuggie :) don't worry he definitely wears it. We ended the night with cake and ice cream the perfect birthday dessert. Tania did such a great job on the cake! She really is talented! Thanks Tania! The last game we played involved a dollar bill on the ground had to be picked up with your mouth while balancing on only one leg.... These pictures were too fun :) Enjoy!!!

Christmas

We unfortunately are not good at taking pictures so I only have a couple to share for our Christmas this year. We spent our Christmas up at the Norton's. (Michael's sister Kelly and her family) We had a wonderful time! The kids were so fun to watch opening all their gifts. We are glad we were there to see their all their excitement! My gift to Michael this year was a new set of the new Spanish Bible with a matching Book of Mormon. I had my dad make him a leather case for it and had him carve in Joseph Smith's first vision on one side, and on the other side Lehi's vision of the Tree of Life. I must say my dad is pretty talented! Michael surprised me when we got home with a beautiful Keyboard Piano!!! I was so surprised and excited! What a perfect gift! I have spent tons of time on it and am so happy to have a piano in my own home again!

Wedding Traditions

We decided to keep the 1 year tradition of having one last bite from your wedding cake. We heard that it would be nasty but we went ahead and ate some! This was a piece of cake from our wedding. We don't know about everyone else's experience but ours turned out just fine. Our cake still tasted delicious! But we decided just the one bite was enough for us :)

Happy Anniversary!

We celebrated our First Anniversary the beginning of this year!!! What a wonderful year it has been for us! We are still happy and excited to be married. We were able to celebrate with our friends Scott and Sarah, who share the same wedding date as us. We went to Disney Land and had such a blast! Here are some pictures we wanted to share!

On our way to the Muppet show, Michael and I decided to show off some of our strength.
Michael chose to use his head while I chose the fists. We both decided to finish off the wall with awesome back kicks but it looks more like I'm kicking the wall while Michael is attacking me.

Michael loves legos! We were very impressed with these large lego statues! This was our last adventure in DisneyLand. But before we left Michael had a few words for Darth Vader.

Just have to Brag!

Who knew I was married to the SMARTEST man in his class? Michael has the highest grade in his Biology class and I am so PROUD of him!!! The semester is halfway over. Only 6 weeks left! We are happy knowing we are only getting closer and closer to our goals in education.

As far as Halloween went...As a couple we ended up going as Chuck Norris and a Ninja. I was the ninja of course with Norris (Michael) following close behind watching me closely to make sure there were no sudden deadly attacks :D Unfortunately Michael wasn't able to accompany me to the ward party so I went alone as SpongeBob. A fun costume to wear I say!

We are anxious for Thanksgiving break to come! More time to enjoy days off together! We are so happy to have each other. We sometimes have too much fun together :D

I will try to get some pictures up here soon of our costumes. We are terrible with remembering to take pictures...

Happy Fall everybody!

HALLOWEEN IS NEAR!

I was dusting off the bookshelves today, and when I picked up a photo album a couple pictures fell out. This is what I found! A cute picture of Lashley, me and Alene from 1988! Sometimes I think it would be so fun to go back in time and be a little girl again!

Michael and I have been trying to come up with new, fun costume ideas but just haven't found the perfect one yet. We've had lots of suggestions from family and friends but none of them have "clicked" yet. If any of you have any suggestions we would LOVE to hear them! Or if you know how to
make a Mr. and Mrs. Potato head costume let us know!
Micahel and I were Nacho and Sister Encarncion (Nun) from the movie, "Nacho Libre". We got some good laughs and had a blast playing their characters. What a fun night! Anyway I posted some pics hoping you would enjoy them. We still laugh when we see them! :) (Didn't Michael just look fantastic?)
